There’s no one-size-fits-all Time Off policy. Based on the company’s culture and values, location, federal rules, and employee requirements, companies provide different types of time off. This could be Sick leave, casual leave, jury duty, optional leave, maternity leave, and so on. In Freshteam, you can set up multiple Time Off types, have individual carryover rules for each type, make it gender-specific, and a lot more. In this article, we’ll show you everything about Time Off types.
Here is how you can set up Time Off types in your Freshteam account:
1. Go to Settings > Time Off > Time Off Setup > Time off type
2. You would see a list of common leave types and other leave types. You can click on the Edit icon on the right side to rename the existing leave types as per your company's requirements.
3. You can also add a new Time Off Type as per your needs. Please check out this article for the steps to create a custom Time Off Type in Freshteam.
Alternatively, you can create a custom time off type while configuring a time off policy too. While configuring the Time Off Policy, you can further customize the treatment of each Time Off type.
