Time Off approval workflow is a straightforward and transparent process within Freshteam and allows you to enforce approvals from Reporting Managers or HR Partners.

Enabling Time Off Approval Workflows in Freshteam


To make sure their request is granted only after approval you have to enable the approval process. Here are the steps.


1. Go to Settings > Time Off > Time off setup > Preferences



2. Enable the Approvals for Timeoff declaration option.



Once you enable this option, each Time Off request would be sent to the respective Reporting Manager and HR partner of the employee for approval. They would receive an email for the approval request where they can choose to approve or decline the Time Off request. 




Note: Apart from the reporting manager and HR partner of the employee, users with Account Admin and Admin rules can also approve or decline any pending Time Off requests. 


Finding Pending Time-off Requests in your Freshteam account


For Account Admin, Admin, and HR Manager


1. Go to Time Off > My Company from the left menu. 

2. Go to the Pending Requests tab.




3. From the left panel, click on the request that you want to approve or decline. 

4. Approve or Decline the request. You can also add comments stating the reasons.



For Reporting Managers


1. Go to Time Off > My Company from the left menu. 

2. Go to the Pending Requests tab.




3. From the left panel, click on the request that you want to approve or decline. 

4. Approve or Decline the request. You can also add comments stating the reasons.
